Myth - A hypnotist has special powers ...
False. Almost anyone can be a hypnotist, however a qualified hypnotherapist is trained in quick and effective relaxation techniques, psychology and counselling so that your hypnotherapy sessions will have the positive outcome you desire.

Myth - The hypnotist will put you to “sleep” ...
False. Under hypnosis you are awake and completely aware of what is happening around you. You are merely in a state of extremely deep relaxation.

Myth - You can be turned into a chicken even if you don’t want
to be ..

False – you’ve been watching too much TV! Nobody can be hypnotised against their will or do anything under hypnosis they do not wish to do. You must be 100% cooperative in order to be hypnotised. Unless you wish to run around squawking, you will not do so.

Myth - Only gullible people can be hypnotised ...
False. Just about anyone can be hypnotised – it may take some longer than others, but virtually anyone can be hypnotised if they want to be.

Myth - If the hypnotist has a heart attack, you’ll be stuck in a trance forever ...
False. Because you’re awake and aware throughout the session, you would awaken fully
         - and hopefully phone an ambulance!
